6’3 wide receiver Graham Love from Cary, N.C. had a very good showing last weekend at Wake Forest's one-day camp. The talented 2010 prospect spoke with DeaconSports about the camp and his recruitment.
DeaconSports:
How was the Wake Forest camp?
Graham Love
:
“I thought it went really good. The staff did a great job running the camp. It was also a great chance for me to see the facilities. As far as my performance, I think I did OK. I could have done better. I went out there and had fun and worked hard.”
DeaconSports:
Who has offered at this point and who is showing interest?
Graham Love:
“I have an offer from Western Carolina. I am visiting Winston-Salem State this weekend and I think they will offer. Currently I am hearing from Wake, East Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, N.C. State, and Duke.”
DeaconSports:
What do you think about Wake?
Graham Love:
“Coach Grobe has done a great job there. He has totally flipped the program around. Before he and his staff got there, they were mediocre. Now they are playing in BCS games and are contending every year. Also, they know how to produce NFL talent.”
DeaconSports:
What are your strengths as a receiver?
Graham Love:
“I think I am able to get separation from the defensive backs. I watch a lot of tape on Jerry Rice and even though he wasn’t the fastest guy, he was able to separate from the DBs. If you are able to get separation from the DBs, it makes it much easier on the quarterback.”
* While observing camp last Sunday, it was clear that Love has a lot of talent and potential. He caught the ball well all day and was able to get separation from the defensive backs. Love seemed to run nice routes and is able to use his body to make plays.
