Deacs Grab Texas Prospect

Nikita Whitlock, a 5'10, 245 pound middle linebacker prospect from Wylie High School has decided to become a Demon Deacon. Whitlock was named the Texas State 5A Defensive Player of the Year after a stellar senior season. DeaconSports spoke with Whitlock's head coach at Wylie, Bill Howard, about Nikita's commitment.

Nikita Whitlock proved himself every time he took the field for Wylie High School. Playing nose guard for the Pirates at the highest level of Texas high school football, Whitlock tallied an amazing 165 tackles, 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hurries, 6 punt blocks (2 of which he returned for touchdowns), 2 field goal blocks, and 3 extra point blocks.
