Over a year of hard work paid off for the Wake Forest coaching staff on National Signing Day, today. Wake Forest signed 18 student-athletes to become members of Demon Deacon football program in addition to three greyshirt players and two student-athlletes from the class of 2009 that have already enrolled.

DeaconSports has extensive and exclusive coverage of Signing Day '09 as football recruits officially join the Demon Deacon family.

Two football prospects from the class of 2009, Tommy Bohanon and Derald Jones, enrolled at Wake Forest in January (as did 2008 signee Steven Chase) and Wake Forest expects to officially sign 21 more today, National Signing Day.

Coach Jim Grobe and his staff have put together an excellent class in 2009. With 23 total recruits including 10 three star prospects, on paper this class looks to be the best Wake Forest class under Jim Grobe. The previous two years, thought of as the best two classes in recent history, had seven three-star players each.
