"We are having a rough season right now," said Cross. "We are a very young team and are rebuilding this season. We have had a couple close losses plus we moved to a very tough division this season."
What has Cross learned this year? "I have really
learned to step forward and be a team leader. I
always want to be a good role model for our young
guys. I have worked on my footwork a lot this season and I am always working on reading defenses and breaking down film."
Cross has had his share of individual success this
season. "In our win, I had six total touchdowns. Last week I had a couple scores as well. I feel like I am playing well but I always want to improve."
Cross has kept a close eye on his future teammates at Wake Forest and has liked what he has seen so far. "They have been fun to watch. It was great to see them beat FSU and Clemson. I think they can win every game left on their schedule. I plan on coming up for the Boston College and Vanderbilt games and I will take my
official in December."
Although he and his teammates have not had many Ws so far, Cross has continued to lead his team and is working hard to improve his game.
