Brown Enjoys WFU Official

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are looking to add one or two more defensive backs to their 2009 class. One of their top targets, Josh Brown, made his official visit to Winston-Salem last weekend. DeaconSports spoke with Brown about his visit and future plans.

Josh Brown of St. Petersburg, Florida is very high on the wish list for Wake Forest coaches. Brown had stated earlier that Wake Forest was his leader and recently took his official visit to watch the Demon Deacons in action.

"The trip was cool," said Brown. "The campus at Wake was real nice and so was Deacon Tower. It's is a great view from up there. I was also able to meet Alphonso Smith and take a picture with him which was great. All the people at Wake were real cool."

Despite not committing, the coaches continue to pitch Wake Forest very hard to the defensive back prospect. "They said if I come in and work real hard I could earn some early playing time. They lose quite a few defensive backs after this year."

Although he had a great visit, Brown is still looking at his options. "I am going to take a few more visits. I am either going to Iowa or Louisville next. Then I will make a decision."
