Deacons Lead For Brown

Josh Brown does a lot for his football team at Dixie Hollins High School. This season, he will play quarterback, running back and corner. DeaconSports caught up with Brown prior to his official visit to Wake Forest this weekend to get his thoughts on the upcoming season and Wake Forest.

Josh Brown can't wait to hit the field with his Dixie Hollins teammates this Friday. Playing a pivotal role for Dixie Hollins, that is to be expected. "Man, I am ready to hit the field," said Brown. "I hope the season goes well. I really want to go out on a good note."

Brown will be all over the field this season and looks to get the ball in his hands as much as possible. "I will play QB as well as running back on offense and on defense I will be at corner." When asked which side of the ball he prefers, Brown responded that he has no preference at this point. "Either is fine but I feel like I will be a corner at the next level."

Brown has offers from the likes of Wake Forest, Louisville and South Florida but one school stands out. "Wake is #1 for me," he noted. "I actually talked with my parents about recruiting last night. Then I called Coach Russ at Wake and told him I was really leaning to Wake. I plan on visiting this weekend with my dad and my friend Tommy Bohannon."

When asked if a commitment could be coming soon, Brown responded that things look good for the Demon Deacons. "Most likely," he noted. "Tommy and I would like to keep things going at Wake. They have had a good team for a while now."

If Brown decides on Wake, the Deacs will be getting a top notch playmaker with good size and speed for the corner position. Brown is also a high character young man that values education and hard work and will do whatever is need for the team to win.
