Lindsey Lamar will be the focus of many opposing teams this upcoming season. With his vision and speed, Lamar is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. Lamar and his teammates are currently preparing for their upcoming season.
"Practice has been OK so far," said Lamar. "It could be better. I think when our offensive line comes together then we will be good to go."
Hopefully that will happen soon with their first game on the horizon. "We play a preseason game next Friday against Lakewood and we start the season the next week at Jefferson." One game that Lamar thinks will be a big one is against Armwood. "I really think Armwood is going to be a tough game. That one could very well decide who wins the conference this year."
On the recruiting front, not much has changed for Lamar in recent weeks. "Everything is really about the same on the recruiting front. I still talk with the Wake coaches regularly and I like them a lot. I haven't planned my visit there yet and I probably won't get up there until later in the season."
Now that Lamar is fully healthy and will be the feature back in the Hillsborough offense, look for him to out up some big time numbers this season. With no other known offers out to running backs in the '09 class, Lamar is one of Wake's top remaining targets.
