WR Loves Wake Visit

Charlotte's Kenny Moore tripped to Wake Forest on an official visit this weekend. The 5-11 wide receiver spoke with DeaconSports after his visit and had great things to say about the Demon Deacon program.

Charlotte Butler wide receiver Kenny Moore enjoyed his visit to Wake Forest so much this weekend that he just couldn't get enough. When we called to get in touch with him regarding his weekend, Moore told DeaconSports he was on the line with his primary recruiter at Wake Forest, Coach Keith Henry.

Coach Henry called Moore after the Charlotte area receiver made it home from his official visit. "Coach Henry called to make sure I got home safely and wanted to make sure I had fun on my visit," Moore told DeaconSports when we called back.

"I really liked the coaches," he continued. "They're somebody you can talk to and get along with. It was very easy to communicate with them. They were real cool. All the players at Wake said they were real cool too!"

Did he have a good time on his official visit? Of course he did.

"Yeah, It was fun," Moore said. "I really got to see their environment up there. They fed me a lot. I got to meet all the coaches and see the facilities and stuff. They did some cool things and we got to watch some film of their offense and see the plays they run."

Moore continued talking about Wake Forest with DeaconSports, noting that he was a fan of the offense coach Troy Calhoun has put in at Wake. "I like their offense," Moore noted. "They've got the no huddle. It's real upped in pace. Their offense is bsically like my high school offense with a slot man like Fabian Davis. That's what I do in my offense and that's what I would do at Wake."

He also loved Wake Forest's campus. "I really like the campus because all the classes are all together," he noted. "You don't have to go all the way to the other side of campus. You're right there by your class. It's like a small community. There are not as many students there as other campuses."

After his visit, Moore now names four favorites for his services. "I think Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Virginia, and South Carolina are my favorites," Moore told DeaconSports. I'm looking at Tennessee too, I guess."

Along with Wake Forest, Moore also has offers from Duke, East Carolina, and Elon.

Moore, who has between 700 and 800 receiving yards on the season, has scored 27 touchdowns for Butler this year. Moore tells DeaconSports that his latest forty time is around 4.4 seconds with a 4.3 in the shuttle.
