Thomas Makes Third Winston-Salem Visit

Logan Thomas

Brookville (VA) High School's Logan Thomas, a highly rated prospect from the class of 2009, returned to Winston-Salem this past weekend to get another look at Wake Forest and what the Demon Deacon program has to offer.

"I went down yesterday for junior day and checked things out there," Logan Thomas said Sunday evening. "It was my third trip and a good one again."

Thomas visited Wake Forest just two weeks ago but returned to get a better look at the school. "We just went down visiting the academic center, sports area, and the field and where the classes are," he said. "We went to the basketball game as well. I met all the coaches and a couple of the players. [Jeremy] Thompson their DE and Alphonso Smith."

Early in the process, Wake Forest has already offered the 6'6, 215-pound prospect. "They've offered me a scholarship," he said. "They want me to play a tight end I believe." Along with an offer from Wake Forest, other schools have also officially offered. "Two other schools have offered, UVa and Virginia Tech," he said. Along with those three schools, Alabama, Stanford, N.C. State, and North Carolina are all evaluating Thomas. Thomas has no favorites at the current time and plans to take his time in the recruiting process.

This past year, Thomas' Brookville High team went 9-4 and made it to the state semi-finals. A quarterback at the high school level, Thomas ended the season with 1,100 passing yards and 600 rushing yards.
