Stachitas Working to Improve

Ted Stachitas

Quarterback Ted Stachitas doesn't have to worry about recruiting anymore unlike some of the other top prospects in Florida. Instead, the Wake Forest commit has put his focus on improving over the summer to prepare for his time in Winston-Salem.

The 6-0, 180 pound quarterback from Nease High School in St. Augustine, Florida has imposed tough work habits on himself, and that could pay off this fall.

"The areas I'm trying to improve in the most this summer are my accuracy and probably staying in the pocket longer. Coach Mullen has told me that the big thing in college is staying in the pocket as long as you can until someone forces you out so that's what I need to work on."

Already a great athlete, he also plans to continue to work on his throws this season as he aims for a state title. "My accuracy is pretty good right now but I can still improve," he noted. "I threw three interceptions last season when I shouldn't have thrown any."

Stachitas is not sure at this point whether teammate and Wake commit Ramon Booi will join him on any of his unofficial viaist but does know one game he and another Wake Forest commit, Riley Haynes, will be attending.

"I think me and Riley are going to go up for the Nebraska game this year and probably another game but we're not sure about that yet."
