Profile

WILBER'S HS COACH RICK DARLINGTON

Kyle is a great young man, very humble. Very good character and a good student. Off the field he has all the character qualities you'd want. I'm actually more proud of how good he is off-the-field, and he's a heckuva player.

On Kyle's skills as a player
On the field he's a good pash rusher, plays hard, plays hurt. I think his size is going to be good...by the time he gets into their program and puts on the weight he needs to. He's 6'4" but only about 220, so he's got the chance to put on some weight still.

On Kyle going to Wake Forest
It's a great matchup. I love Wake Forest because their coaches are so humble...Coach Grobe and Coach Elrod. I think their staff is great, and it's easy to root for them because of the way they are. The character they instill in those kids at WF...we're proud that Kyle can be a part of that program and those coaches.

On Kyle's character
He's Very quiet, very popular in school. He would be what you'd call a servant leader, which is not something you see a lot of in D1 recruits. He'll do things for his teammates, he'll clean up the weight room or help vaccuum the locker room. He doesn't mind doing those kinds of things, which is rare.
