Wortham commits to Wake Forest

Wake Forest was looking to add a quality running back in this year's recruiting class. On Tuesday evening, they received a commitment from, Dezmond Wortham, just a couple of days after he left campus from an official visit. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back out of Carrolton (Texas) Hebron High School gave his commitment to Coach Tim Duffie, who was in the Dallas area for an in-home visit.

"When Coach Duffie was here," said Dezmond Wortham, "I told him I was ready to join the Wake Forest family. We called Coach Grobe right away. They both were very excited. "At Wake Forest, I feel like you get the best of both worlds. You receive a great education and get to play big time college football. The coaches are men who are very welcoming.
