Daniel Braverman talks new schools

Daniel Braverman is a three-star wide receiver out of south Florida who is sitting at nine scholarship offers. He's excited about potentially taking root in the Big 10.

"I have the same offers," said Daniel Braverman of his list, which includes Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt.

"There's just new schools that have gotten in contact with me, and we're just trying to see if they offer. I've been hearing from Indiana and Minnesota. I've talked to Boise State too, but they already have their commitment.

"I'm looking forward to seeing schools in the Big 10. I've always thought that would be a good place for me, so hearing from Minnesota and Indiana has been good."

Braverman was supposed to make a visit to Wake Forest this month, but said, "Couldn't make it for a couple of reasons, but I'm going to visit there during the year. I'm also going to visit Eastern Michigan for their first game."

The 5-10, 170-pound athlete discussed his plans for narrowing down his scholarship options.

"I'm going to make my top five whenever I feel the top five schools stand out in my mind," he said. "My commitment will be what's the best opportunity, and I can't let other players take my opportunity before me."

Braverman begins his final season at University High School next Friday with their opening game.

"We've been having some intense practices," he said. "We just finished two-a-days. Our coaches run practices like a real college. A lot of them played college football; three at UM, one at UCF, and another at Villanova."

That kind of training, along with his status as a top receiver on his team should prove him out in a favorable position.
